María de los Á. Sánchez advises companies on issues related to the environmental impact of their activities. This includes impact studies, compliance with regulations, natural resource management and sustainable strategies to minimize damage to the environment with a focus in tourism projects based on agricultural activities. She has a degree in Biology (BS) and Environmental Health (MS) and more than 20 years of experience in the environmental industry and more than 24 years in the tourism industry as a tour guide. She started in 2004, offering consultancy on the topic of composting at the Botanical and Cultural Garden of Caguas for 3 years in that municipality. Then, between 2014-2015, she began selling her compost in an artisanal way to family, friends and at festivals and offered in-person composting workshops in different public institutions throughout the country. In 2020, she developed an e-book, an online course and virtual events on the same topic. Additionally, she has taken business, sales and agribusiness courses. All these products have become known through the social networks mainly.
